It compiles decades of specialized research originally published as 87 individual articles, covering everything from Civil War patriotic tokens and store cards to more niche items like sutler tokens and early American die-sinkers. For a numismatist, the book serves as a foundational catalog that provides historical context, rarity data, and detailed descriptions needed to organize a collection and authenticate various "exonumia" (numismatic items other than coins and paper money) that might otherwise be difficult to document. Lot weight: 1 lbs 3oz. Subject(s): United States Tokens.
