Contemporary studio glass vase by Hugh Jenkins and Stephanie Ross for Big Island Glass, Hawaii. Hand-blown glass vessel in an elongated ovoid seed form tapering to a narrow circular aperture. The upper portion features transparent red glass transitioning into a dense black and deep red base through a mottled, veined pattern. The lower section displays iridescent electric blue and violet highlights in an oil-spot motif. Finished with a high-gloss surface and a ground, frosted circular base. Signed H Jenkins and S. Ross 2004 along the edge of the base.
