Lot 222 A "Tortoise and the Hare" Italian Rug.
(1938) A small Italian-made rug inspired by Walt Disney’s Academy Award-winning "Tortoise and the Hare" Silly Symphony short. Produced in the late 1930s or early 1940s, the reverse retains the original "Made in Italy" label. Not including the fringes, the rug measures 11.5” x 18.5” and displays in good condition, with discoloration, stains, fading, and light fraying to the edges.
