This lot consists of two pressed glass dishes from the American Elegant era, featuring intricate gold-encrusted and gold-gilt etched decorations. The first item is a circular handled serving plate by Cambridge Glass in the Rose Point pattern, embellished with a dense, gold-encrusted floral and scrollwork design. The plate features a scalloped rim with a wide gold border. The second item is a pedestal compote with a wide, ruffled bowl detailed with a gold-gilt rim and a delicate interior floral etching; this piece bears no maker's mark. The piece includes a fluted transition to the stem and stands on a circular foot with a gold-gilt edge. These pieces exemplify high-quality mid-20th-century American glassware.
