Lot 178 2pc W. A. Pickard China Hand-Painted Porcelain Bowls

This set consists of two pieces of hand-painted porcelain decorated by the W. A. Pickard China studio of Chicago. It features a scalloped edge with a raised, beaded gold border and a matte salmon-pink tinted wash on the underside. This bowl is signed in red script LE ROY. for artist John LeRoy and bears the red Pickard overglaze studio mark used between 1905 and 1910. The second item is a small lobed bowl featuring a motif of purple grapes or currants with green and orange foliage. This bowl rests on six gilded feet and features a gilded rim.
