^Lot 38 Moorcroft Pottery by Nicola Slaney Trial Vase, Royal Arrival at Windsor Castle

This trial piece features a tubelined and hand-painted scene depicting a sleeping infant wearing a golden crown, resting on a blue and white checkered blanket. The background illustrates Windsor Castle with crenelated towers on a green hillside under a pale-yellow sky, framed by stylized trees with dark brown trunks and large green leaves. The ovoid form tapers to a narrow neck with a slightly flared rim. The base bears several markings including a circular blue stamp reading MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND with a registered trademark symbol, a blue script Moorcroft signature, and the hand-painted blue initials MP. It is further inscribed in green with TRIAL and the date 30.5.13. Four brown felt protective pads are attached to the base.
