^Lot 387 Goebel M.J. Hummel Porcelain Figurine Weg da! Oh, No! First Issue 2008

This Goebel M.J. Hummel porcelain figurine, titled Weg da! / Oh, No!, is a hand-painted glazed porcelain collectible. The scene depicts a young boy dressed in a red shirt, brown shorts, and a white polka-dot bib, seated on a wooden-style tricycle. The boy is shown looking back at two white geese with open orange beaks that appear to be following him. The figures are set upon a textured, off-white base decorated with small painted floral details. The item features several identifying marks, including an incised M. J. Hummel signature on the back side of the base and a blue stamp on the rear edge that reads Weg da! / Oh, No!. The underside of the base contains a blue Goebel trademark featuring a stylized bumblebee inside a V shape above the word Goebel and Germany. A blue oval stamp on the underside identifies the piece as a FIRST ISSUE / ERSTE AUSGABE / 2008. A handwritten black mark resembling a stylized K or R is also present on the base.
