This professional hand-painted porcelain hum figurine, titled "Crossroads" (Am Scheideweg), is a special edition (Sonderausgabe) released by Goebel to commemorate the reunification of Germany. The piece depicts two young boys standing at a rustic wooden signpost with signs pointing to "WEST" and "OST" (East), accompanied by a small blue bird perched atop the post. One boy carries a walking stick and a bindle over his shoulder, while the other carries a yellow trumpet. The base is decorated with small orange flowers. The underside features the blue underglaze "Goebel W. Germany" trademark, the "M.I. Hummel" facsimile signature dated 1990, and the commemorative text "A Celebration of Freedom."
