This two-piece porcelain figurine set from Goebel features the M.I. Hummel Icy Adventure collection. The set consists of a boy figurine and a separate landscape display base. The boy is depicted wearing a yellow winter hat, orange scarf, and mittens, having fallen onto his backside while ice skating. The landscape base is designed as a frozen pond surrounded by snow-covered ground, featuring two snow-laden evergreen trees, two rabbits, and a bluebird perched on a rock. The boy figurine features a blue underglaze Goebel TMK-7 trademark with Germany, a pink Millennium 2000 stamp, and hand-painted decorator marks. The landscape base includes a circular medallion on the reverse rim and a gold sticker on the underside identifying it as Mark # 1039-D, copyrighted in 1999 by Goebel. The base also bears a Made in China sticker. Both pieces are constructed of hand-painted porcelain with a matte finish.
