^Lot 371 Goebel Hummel Ride into Christmas Figurine and Home for the Holidays Illuminated Musical Base

This two-piece set features a Goebel Hummel hand-painted porcelain figurine and a coordinating decorative landscape base. The figurine, identified as Ride into Christmas (Hum 396), depicts a young boy in a green and yellow plaid jacket, yellow scarf, and red boots pulling a traditional wooden sled. The front edge of the figurine base is inscribed with the titles Auf zur Schlittenfahrt and Winter Sleigh Ride. The underside of the figurine bears the Goebel bumblebee mark, Germany, the designation Exclusive Edition, and a hand-painted mark.

The accompanying landscape base is part of the Goebel Home for the Holidays collection, identified as Mark number 1075-D and dated 2002. This composite material base features a snow-covered village scene including a rustic timber-and-stone house, a yellow church with a steeple, and snow-dusted evergreen trees. The base includes a metal winding key for an internal music box mechanism and a battery compartment with an on/off switch on the underside for internal illumination of the buildings. The figurine was manufactured in Germany, while the decorative base was manufactured in China.
