^Lot 230 2pc Royal Doulton Character Jugs, Viking and Fat Boy

This 2pc collection of Royal Doulton glazed ceramic character jugs includes the models Fat Boy D5840 and Viking D6502. The Viking jug features a bearded figure wearing a black and white horned helmet with a handle modeled as a green dragon head. The base of the Viking jug is marked with the Royal Doulton backstamp, a 1958 copyright date, and registration numbers 889567, 38223, 8033, and 426/58. The Fat Boy jug, depicting the character from Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Papers, is rendered with orange hair and a blue coat. The name Fat Boy is embossed on the reverse of the base, and the underside bears a standard Royal Doulton maker's mark. Both items are finished with polychrome glazing and detailed modeling.
