^Lot 229 2pc Royal Doulton Character Jugs, The Snooker Player and The London 'Bobby'

Two Royal Doulton ceramic character jugs, hand-made and hand-decorated in England. The first item is a large character jug titled The London Bobby (D6744), modeled by Stanley James Taylor with a 1985 copyright date, depicting a traditional London policeman with a handle shaped as the Big Ben clock tower. The second item is a character jug titled The Snooker Player (D6879), also modeled by Taylor with a 1990 copyright date, featuring a man in a waistcoat with a handle formed from a cue and a rack of red snooker balls. Both items bear official Royal Doulton backstamps on their undersides, and the snooker player jug retains an original paper hangtag.
