^Lot 220 Royal Doulton Sir Henry Doulton Two-Handled Character Jug D7054

This large Royal Doulton two-handled character jug, model D7054, depicts Sir Henry Doulton and was modeled by William K. Harper to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Sir Henry Doulton 1897-1997. The glazed ceramic jug features a hand-painted portrait of Sir Henry in a navy coat and yellow bow tie. The vessel is flanked by two decorative handles: one depicting a potter at work with a rabbit, and the other a green-glazed vase on a patterned plinth. The base is fully marked with the Royal Doulton backstamp and identifies this piece as number 762 from a limited edition of 1,997. The item is accompanied by its original Certificate of Authenticity and original branded box.
