Lot 208 Royal Doulton Character Jug D6729 Davy Crockett and Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna

A Royal Doulton double-sided ceramic character jug from The Antagonists Collection, titled The Battle of the Alamo 1836. The vessel features the hand-painted molded likenesses of Davy Crockett, depicted in a coonskin cap and buckskin, and General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna in formal military dress. The handle is modeled as a scroll vertically inscribed with ALAMO, accompanied by a sword on one side and a powder horn on the other. The base is marked with the Royal Doulton logo, model number D. 6729, and indicates it is a limited edition piece designed by Michael Abberley in 1984. The underside is hand-numbered 837 out of a worldwide limited edition of 9,500.
