^Lot 189 Doulton International Carnival of Clowns Breathtaking Performance Figurine

A Doulton International porcelain limited edition figurine titled Breathtaking Performance from the Carnival of Clowns series, designed by artist Ben Black. The piece is constructed of porcelain with a matte finish. The figure depicts a clown wearing a white costume with pink polka dots and a tall pointed hat, shown blowing into a large blue balloon. A cluster of multi-colored balloons in shades of yellow, green, pink, and orange is situated around the clown's feet on a circular white base. The underside of the base features printed text identifying the series, title, artist, and manufacturer, Doulton International 1983. The base also indicates the piece was imported from Japan and includes a handwritten limited edition number of 2643 out of 3500. The figurine retains its original blue paper hang tag.
