This polychrome glazed ceramic figure depicts a seated military veteran wearing a red coat with service medals, black trousers with a red side stripe, and a black peaked cap marked with the initials RH in gold. The figure is shown seated upon a brown and gray trunk and holds a yellow bugle. The underside of the base features the green Royal Doulton factory backstamp, the title of the piece, the model number, and a copyright date of 1972.
