This polychrome glazed figure depicts a bearded man in Middle Eastern or Asian attire, seated cross-legged on a patterned rug. He wears a multicolored turban in shades of orange, yellow, and green, a green-and-blue striped robe, and a brown vest. The figure is positioned on a molded black rectangular base. The front of the base is inscribed with CHU CHIN CHOW and the side is inscribed Noke sc. for designer Charles Noke. The underside features the Royal Doulton lion-and-crown backstamp, the title Cobbler, and the model number H.N.1706.
