^Lot 149 Royal Doulton Figurine Darling HN 4140 Limited Edition

A Royal Doulton glazed bone china figurine titled Darling, model number HN 4140. The piece depicts a young child with strawberry-blonde hair wearing a long white nightgown, standing on a low square plinth. This particular example was issued in a limited edition of 1,913 and is hand-numbered 398 on the base. The underside features the official Royal Doulton maker mark, stating the figure was modeled by William K. Harper, based on an original model by Charles Vyse, and carries a 1998 copyright date. The figurine is hand-made and hand-decorated.
