^Lot 85 Royal Doulton Figurine Top of the Hill HN1834

A single glazed porcelain figurine by Royal Doulton, titled Top of the Hill, model number HN1834. The figurine depicts a lady in a voluminous, high-gloss crimson red gown, posed as if bracing against the wind while holding a wide-brimmed hat. The figure is executed in a traditional English ceramic style, featuring white ruffled details along the skirt and a pale green and yellow sash draped across the body. The base is marked with the printed green Royal Doulton backstamp, featuring the crown and lion motif and the text ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND. Additional printed markings include the title TOP OF THE HILL and codes SC and HERINA. Research indicates the model was first issued circa 1937.
