^Lot 41 Studio Pottery Vase, Bears “MP” Mark and No. 16

A hand-thrown studio pottery vase of baluster form with flared rim, incised “MP” mark and “#16” to the underside. The vase is finished in a speckled grey-beige glaze over a textured clay body, with incised stylized foliate decoration and horizontal banding to the shoulder and mid-body, the lower register left more rugged and earthy in effect. The overall design reads as later-20th-century Canadian studio pottery, with a strong handmade character and restrained decorative surface. Good visual condition overall, with light footrim wear, minor firing irregularities, and no chips, cracks, or repairs observed
