Lot 37 Two Medalta Potteries Redcliff Glazed Pottery Pitchers
A pair of Canadian glazed pottery pitchers by Medalta Potteries, Redcliff, Alberta, each with circular factory stamp to the underside. The lot comprises a larger buff-bodied serving pitcher with mottled brown, bark-like glaze and an angular applied handle, together with a smaller cream-bodied milk or cream jug with dark brown rim wash and loop handle. Though by the same Redcliff pottery, the differing forms and glaze treatments indicate an associated lot rather than an original matched pair. Circa 1966–1986. Good visual condition overall, with minor underside wear and manufacturing irregularities; no chips, cracks, or repairs observed
