Born in London, England, Evans came to Edmonton as a child and became known as an Alberta painter with a particular affinity for regional landscape subjects. He worked in oils and line-and-wash, and was associated with both the Alberta Society of Artists and the Federation of Canadian Artists. His work is represented in Alberta collections and has appeared regularly in the Canadian market.
