The carving is notable for its reductive silhouette and effective contrast between the smoothly polished upper body and the shaggy treatment of the fleece, a familiar visual language in Inuit muskox sculpture. The underside bears a faint incised signature that is not sufficiently legible to support a secure artist attribution. A small but appealing northern animal carving with strong decorative presence.
