^Lot 417 A Set of Four Kaj Franck for Nuutajarvi Spiral Art Glass Wine Glasses

A set of four art glass wine glasses designed by Kaj Franck for Nuutajarvi. These hand-blown glasses feature clear glass bodies decorated with an opaque white spiral banding pattern. The rounded bowls are encircled by broad horizontal bands of white glass. The upper portion of the tapered stems is detailed with a series of closely spaced, fine white horizontal rings, creating a textured, ribbed effect. The lower section of each stem is solid clear glass, leading to a flat, circular base. Each piece bears an etched mark on the underside of the base reading K. Franck Nuutajarvi. These items are examples of mid-century modern Finnish design.
