The set is comprised of 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 bread and butter plates, 4 bowls, and 4 cups with 4 saucers. The decoration is executed in a Chinoiserie style with iron-red enamel and gilded accents on a fine white porcelain ground. The design includes a central medallion depicting two phoenixes, while the borders are decorated with scrolling dragons and stylized oriental floral motifs. Each piece is finished with a gold-painted rim. The undersides bear the Raynaud Limoges mark.
