Lot 400 Reed & Barton Silverplate Swid Powell Serving Fork Designed by Richard Meier
A silver-plated serving fork in the Meier pattern, designed by architect Richard Meier for Swid Powell and manufactured by Reed & Barton. The piece features a broad, four-tine head with an angular, stepped shoulder. The straight handle is decorated with three recessed vertical lines leading to a terminal end with a 3x3 grid of nine small recessed squares, a signature motif of Meier's architectural style. The reverse of the neck is incised with the marks REED & BARTON, Swid Powell, and a copyright symbol followed by the initials RM.
