Lot 391 A Pair of Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Bernadotte Fish Forks
A pair of sterling silver forks in the Bernadotte pattern, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte for Georg Jensen in 1939. Each fork features a three-tined design with broad, slightly curved heads. The long handles are characterized by classic Art Deco-influenced vertical fluting that extends to the rounded terminals. The reverse of the neck on each fork is stamped with the characters STERLING over DENMARK, positioned above an oval mark containing the letters GEORG JENSEN. This set of flatware demonstrates the streamlined, functionalist aesthetic associated with mid-century Danish silver design.
