A group of four 2003A Series United States Two Dollar State Notes, each featuring commemorative overprints representing Washington, South Dakota, Kansas, and New York. The obverse of each note presents a portrait of Thomas Jefferson at center, with serial numbers and Treasury seals printed in green. Each bears a custom vignette highlighting an iconic landmark or symbol of its state - such as the Space Needle (Washington), Mount Rushmore (South Dakota), the wheat fields and bison of Kansas, and the Statue of Liberty (New York). The notes read Federal Reserve Note - The United States of America - Two Dollars with the denomination at corners. The reverse of all notes depicts John Trumbull's historic painting, "The Signing of the Declaration of Independence", surrounded by the inscription "The United States of America -Two Dollars."
