Lot 323 3pc 1854 to 1893 British Half Farthing, 3 Pence, & Gothic Type Florin

The 1854 Half Farthing, struck in bronze, features the crowned inscription HALF FARTHING and date on the reverse, with the young head portrait of Queen Victoria and legend VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D: on the obverse. The 1893 silver 3 Pence bears the crowned numeral 3 surrounded by a wreath and the date on the reverse, while the obverse depicts Queen Victoria's veiled bust with the inscription VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT: REG: F:D:. The Gothic Florin, struck in .925 fine silver and weighing approximately 11.3 grams, was minted at the Royal Mint in London. Its obverse presents the crowned bust of Queen Victoria facing left with a finely detailed lace collar and gothic legend VICTORIA D:G: BRITT: REG: F:D:, while the reverse displays a cruciform arrangement of crowned shields representing England, Scotland, and Ireland, with the surrounding inscription ONE FLORIN ONE TENTH OF A POUND.
