Lot 311 1878 Straits Settlements 20 Cents ANACS Graded EF 45

Silver twenty-cent coin from the Straits Settlements, dated 1878, graded EF 45 by ANACS. The obverse features the crowned bust of Queen Victoria facing left, with the legend VICTORIA QUEEN, designed by engraver Leonard Charles Wyon. The reverse displays the denomination within a beaded circle, surrounded by the inscription STRAITS SETTLEMENTS and the date below. Struck in .800 silver, the coin weighs 5.43 grams and was part of the standard circulation coinage issued between 1871 and 1901 under the Straits Settlements dollar system.
