Lot 307 4pc 1877 to 1896 British Victoria Farthings
A group of four Victorian British coins featuring Queen Victoria. Includes an 1881 three pence (3D) piece encased in a holder marked "Great Britain 1881 3 Berry," struck in sterling silver (0.925 fine), minted at the Royal Mint, London. The obverse depicts the crowned bust of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA D:G:BRITT:REG:F:D:, and the reverse features Britannia seated with shield and trident, inscription ONE PENNY, or denomination in corresponding coins. Accompanied by three bronze coins: one penny dated 1896, one penny dated 1897, and one halfpenny dated 1877, each bearing the young or veiled bust of Victoria on the obverse and Britannia on the reverse.
