Lot 304 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar

Presented here is an 1896 Morgan Silver Dollar designed by George T. Morgan, housed in a protective case. The obverse shows Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with wheat and cotton, surrounded by stars and the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date 1896. The reverse, also by Morgan, depicts a heraldic eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, framed by a wreath with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
