^Lot 95 Gonder Ceramic Arts, Mid-Century Modern Orientalist Page Figurine

This mid-century modern stylized ceramic figurine was produced by Gonder Ceramic Arts and is dated 1950. The piece depicts a standing male figure in Middle Eastern-inspired attire, featuring a large turban, open waistcoat, sash, and wide harem-style trousers. The figurine is finished in a monochrome chartreuse colored glaze. The reverse of the rectangular plinth base is embossed with the mark (c) 1950 GONDER CERAMIC ARTS. The underside features a circular kiln opening and an unglazed foot with a small indeterminate red mark. This model is part of the factory's Orientalist series, often identified as a Page from the White Lotus collection. Height: 11.5 inches.
