A single glazed ceramic figurine titled The Professor, model number HN2281, produced by Royal Doulton circa 1964. The figure depicts a seated male academic wearing spectacles, a brown suit, and black and reddish-maroon academic robes, intensely focused on an open book while seated in a wooden chair. A small stack of books rests near his feet. The figurine is executed in painted porcelain with a high-gloss finish. The underside of the base features the green printed Royal Doulton crown and lion hallmark.
