^Lot 64 Royal Doulton The Skater HN 2117 Figurine

A single Royal Doulton bone china porcelain figurine, titled "The Skater," model number HN 2117. The figure depicts a woman in a dramatic period costume, characteristic of mid-20th century collector's ware. She wears a pale yellow bonnet, a dark brown bodice, and white puffed sleeves. The voluminous skirt is rendered in highly-glossed, graduated tones of red and orange, suggesting movement. The base features a central ventilation hole and prominent factory markings, including the green printed Royal Doulton crown backstamp and the inscriptions "THE SKATER," "HN 2117," "Rd No 952," and "DOULTON & CO LIMITED." This model was designed by L. Harradine and was retired in 1971.
