Lot 100 Group of Three Mid-Century Decorative Objects, Owl-Form Pottery Vase, Linton Ice Bucket, and Aynsley
Description:
Assembled group of three mid-century decorative objects, comprising a small sculptural art pottery vase of compressed ovoid form with stylised owl or bird motif, the textured black-glazed body accented with ochre-yellow roundels and inscribed “50E/61” to the underside; a mid-century English copper and brass barrel-form ice bucket by Linton, fitted with domed lid, swing handle, and original clear glass liner, the base stamped “TRADEMARK / LINTON / MADE IN ENGLAND”; and an Aynsley “Camellia” fine bone china bud vase of elegant elongated form, moulded with leaf and bud relief and finished in ivory glaze with gilt rim and foot. A varied and attractive decorative group with strong mid-century appeal, suitable for bar, shelf, or cabinet display.
Condition:
Overall good vintage condition with expected age and handling wear. The owl-form pottery vase shows scattered small rubs and minor glaze losses to high points and base edge, with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs noted. The Linton ice bucket has surface wear, small dents, scratches, spotting, tarnish, oxidation and patina to the metalwork, with minor verdigris near some rivets; lid fits well and the glass liner is present, with light scratching and clouding from use but no cracks or chips observed. The Aynsley vase is in very good condition with no chips or cracks seen, and only minor light surface wear and slight rubbing to the gilding.
