Persian village hand-knotted wool mat, mid–late 20th century, the deep navy field centered by an elongated hexagonal medallion with stepped ends and a striped diamond device, within a broad ivory border densely patterned with a lattice of small hooked and “X” motifs in red, green and dark blue, framed by narrow red guard stripes, with fringed ends. A finely detailed small rug suitable as an accent mat or wall piece. Approx. 22.5 in. x 17 in.
