A mid-20th-century white porcelain demitasse coffee service, comprising a covered coffee pot, covered sugar bowl, creamer, and six cups with six saucers, together with an associated handled round platter or cake plate. The principal service pieces are finished in a restrained white ground with broad gilt bands and angular neoclassical-revival forms, while the cups feature gilt interiors and more elaborate gilt scroll handles. The handled platter is not from the same service, showing pierced handles and a separate monochrome floral-and-bird decorative scheme. A visually appealing decorative service with both principal components and an associated serving piece. Minor wear to gilding and surface rubbing throughout; no chips or cracks observed.
