^Lot 20 Framed Moonlit Seascape Oil Painting

Mid–late 20th century oil on canvas depicting a dramatic moonlit seascape, with a glowing full moon breaking through layered clouds at left and illuminating crashing waves against dark rocky cliffs at right, a few white seabirds wheeling above the surf. Executed in a rich palette of blues and turquoise with green highlights to the rocks and soft yellow around the moon. Unsigned (as visible). Presented in an ornate gilt and copper-toned molded frame with rococo-style corner and center ornaments and a cream inner liner. Overall approx. 30–32 in. high x 26–28 in. wide; sight size approx. 20–22 in. x 16–18 in.
