(MacVeigh, 1985) A test cel and background painting for The Wizard of Oz by Rob Roy MacVeigh. This cel features Kalidahs, ferocious bear-like monsters from Baum’s original Wizard of Oz book, who inhabited the forest of the Cowardly Lion. MacVeigh was an active artist in the Oz fan club, with a dream of producing an animated feature about Oz, true to the original artists and authors of the books. With a visible image size of 8 " x 17.75 " in a 15 " x 25 " presentation matte, the art displays in very good condition with scuffs and light wear to the matte.
