1787 Maris 45-e R-5- No Sprig Above Plow New Jersey G4+The obverse is better, the reverse is weaker, a 6/3 split. Glossy medium brown blending to chocolate in protected areas. Smooth and the only marks are a rim nick left of the date and a couple minor planchet voids on the reverse. The date is strong. Attractive for the grade, just well worn. Later die state with swelling on the left side of the plow. Listed on page 70 in the 2023 "Redbook." Weight 140.6 grains.
