1787 Maris 6-D R-2 New Jersey F15The obverse is weaker while the reverse is stronger, as usual for this variety. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Smooth with just a couple trivial contact marks. The date is weak, as always on this variety because it was lightly punched into the die, but it is readable. The legends are clear. MDS with die failure at the bottom of the shield. Listed on page 70 in the 2023 "Redbook." Weight 137.3 grains.
