1787 Vlack 21-II-87D R-4 Machin's Mills Halfpenny VF25 but HoledChoice glossy light to medium chocolate brown. A premium Machin's halfpenny except for a hole that was punched through the shield from reverse to obverse. Perhaps nailed to a door jamb over the front door of a residence for good fortune (popular at the time). The date and legends are strong. Listed on page 67 in the 2023 "Redbook."
