This collection consists of a set of 3 floral themed trinket boxes crafted in England using enameling on copper with gilt metal mounts. The group includes pieces from prominent makers Halcyon Days and Crummles & Co. The first item is a Halcyon Days turquoise enamel box featuring a design after a S¨vres porcelain plate of c.1770 in the collection at Burghley House, Lincolnshire. The hinged lid displays a central multi-colored floral bouquet within a medallion, set against a turquoise ground with a repeating gold and dark blue geometric trellis pattern. The technique used is transfer-printed and hand-painted enamel. The base is finished in white enamel and bears the Halcyon Days Enamels England mark with a Royal Warrant crest. The second item is a Crummles & Co. pale blue enamel box with a hinged lid. The lid is decorated with a hand-painted blue flower spray enclosed by a green leaf wreath and a looping blue ribbon with smaller floral sprigs. The interior lid features a black monochrome transfer-printed design of a flower basket. The cobalt blue base is marked: Hand Painted in Fine Enamel, Made in England by Crummles. The third item is a small Crummles & Co. red enamel box with a lift-off lid.
