A Halcyon Days enamel on copper treasure box featuring the Christmas 2012 theme. The round box consists of a domed lid and a cylindrical base joined by a gilded metal hinge and mount. The lid depicts a central decorated Christmas tree surrounded by various toys and a holly wreath, with the inscription Christmas 2012 in red and black script. The base features a continuous wrap-around scene of a Victorian-style domestic interior, showing children around a Christmas tree, a grandfather clock, and figures by a fireplace against a striped wallpaper background. The interior of the lid is decorated with a floral wreath motif containing gift boxes. The underside of the base bears the Halcyon Days maker mark in a serif font positioned below three distinct royal warrants. This item includes its original black presentation box decorated with a gold-tone lion emblem.
