This genuine Limoges porcelain trinket box features a figural mallard duck lid and hand-painted decoration. The circular box is crafted from fine white porcelain and fitted with gold-toned metal mounts, including a decorative clasp shaped like a small duck. The lid is modeled as a mallard with a green head, orange beak, and detailed brown, white, and black plumage. The cylindrical base displays a pond scene with yellow water lilies and green reeds set against a vibrant turquoise ground. A small green leaf motif is hand-painted on the interior bottom. The underside is marked with the hand-painted inscriptions Peint Main, Limoges, and FRANCE in script and block lettering. Additional turquoise markings include a letter C and stylized initials.
