This teacup and saucer set is produced by Royal Doulton and features the sporting pattern known as The All Black Team. The set is made of white fine bone china. The decoration includes polychrome illustrations of cricket players created through a combination of transfer-printing and hand-painted enamel. The saucer center depicts a batsman in a red shirt and hat with the hand-painted caption .Good for fifty. The cup exterior shows a figure leaning on a bat near cricket stumps. Both items feature a green transfer-printed foliate border of repeating leaves near the rim and a hand-painted green line on the rim edge and handle. The underside of both pieces displays a green underglaze Royal Doulton backstamp.
