^Lot 359 Shelley by Walter Slater Lustre Fish Vase

The vase is of cylindrical form with a tapered shoulder, a short neck, and a narrow foot ring. The exterior is finished in an iridescent lustre glaze that transitions from a cream tone at the rim to a turquoise teal shade at the base. The decoration depicts two fish swimming among aquatic foliage, utilizing transfer printed outlines with hand painted enamel accents in shades of blue, green, and purple. Gold highlights are applied to the scales and fins, while gilt bands finish the rim and foot ring. The underside bears the Shelley impressed stamp, Walter Slater's name, and the model number 8306 B.
