^Lot 323 Wedgwood Hummingbird Luster Octagonal Finger Bowl, Pattern Z5294

A Wedgwood small octagonal-form porcelain bowl featuring the Hummingbird pattern designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. The piece is constructed of fine porcelain with a tapered body and a low, circular footed base. The exterior is finished in a mottled purple and blue luster glaze decorated with three stylized birds in gilt. The interior features a contrasting mottled orange and red luster glaze with a single gilded bird motif at the center of the well. Both the rim and the foot are finished with a fine gold band. The base displays a gold printed Portland Vase mark above the words WEDGWOOD and MADE IN ENGLAND. A hand-painted mark in gold reads Z5294 over an X, identifying the specific pattern and production series from the early 20th century.
