^Lot 322 Wedgwood Fish Luster Porcelain Bowl Pattern Z4920

A Wedgwood porcelain bowl of circular footed form featuring the Fish Luster pattern, number Z4920. This design is attributed to Daisy Makeig-Jones. The exterior is finished in a mottled iridescent luster glaze with tones of cobalt blue, violet, and turquoise. The exterior decoration consists of three gilt fish swimming among shells and aquatic foliage. A gilt foliate border encircles the upper rim and the foot. The interior is finished in a pale celadon green glaze and features two polychrome painted fish swimming among strands of green and red seaweed. The interior rim is decorated with an ornate gilt border. The base bears a printed mark in black featuring the Portland Vase above the words WEDGWOOD and MADE IN ENGLAND. The pattern number Z4920 and the letter T are hand painted in gold script.
